What is Aromatherapy?
The art of Aromatherapy has been around for thousands of years dating back
to the Egyptian times.
Aromatherapy involves using therapeutic plant essences known as essential
oils. These oils are obtained by from blossoms, seeds, berries, leaves, resin,
peel, etc. As the name suggests,
the therapy works on our sense of smell which can evoke memories both past and present, inspire moods, and perhaps even change them. When combined with the sense of touch via massage ,the oils are also absorbed through the skin, influencing our emotions, nevous, digestive, respiratory, circulatory and muscular systems and so affecting the individual on both a psychological and physical level.
What is Massage Therapy?
Massage is the manipulation of the body’s soft tissues using various movements with the hands. The word ‘massage’ comes from the Greek ‘masso’, to knead, and the Arabic ‘Mass’ to press gently. Massage was one of the earliest known therapies to be practiced in our ancient cultures.

“The skin is no more separate from the brain then the surface of a lake is separated from its depths. To touch the surface is to stir the depths."
